The court confirms the registration of the form of Lego figures as a Community trademark (EuG, T 395/14 vom 16. Juni 2015). The EuG illustrates that the shape characteristics of the present figures are not necessary to obtain a technical effect. It should not be assumed that the form of the present figures as such is required as a whole in order to enable the assembly of components pluggable into each other. However, the effect of this form is rather to achieve human traits.
