The European Patent Office (EPO) has announced this year’s fee increase with effect from 1 April 2024. The decision of the Administrative Council, published on 31 January 2024, includes an increase in the search fee and the examination fee. The decision also includes a significant increase in the 3^rd and 4^th renewal fees.

Overall, an increase of approximately 9% can be seen.
